In 2022 we are going to see an increase of minimum wage in more than 81 different cities and counties which is a single year record. This happens after Joe Biden signed an executive order which forces federal contractors and federal agencies to pay their employees a minimum of 15 dollars an hour. Puerto Rico is also seeing an increase in minimum wage to $8.50 which is the first increase of that kind since back in 2009. California is the state that will feature the most cities and counties to adopt a higher minimum wage.
