Tesla is undergoing some issues with their vehicles and has to recall close to half a million electric cars in the United States due to some safety issues. Most of these cars are made between 2017 and 2021 but some go back as early as 2014. The recall is affecting Model 3s and Model S’s. Tesla has went on record and saying that just 1% of Model 3s are defective while as many as 14% of the Model S may be defective as well.
Key Takeaways:
- The report was filed back in December 2021 and is issuing a recall for all of the Model 3s made between 2017 and 2021.
- In total there are going to be 475,318 total vehicles recalled including 356,309 Model 3s and 119,109 Model S.
- Recalls don’t typically happen in automobile manufacturing unless there are very dangerous and risky issues.
